Okay so very confused. So Toby was the leader of Spider’s brother and he was posing as Toby and the Menthor helmet made him turn against his brother. What did they want from Raven? I hope we get some more clarification soon or did I miss something?? Still an awesome comic though.

This book just gets all the more fascinating. Spencer is a great writer. I mean look at his Jimmy Olsen back-up versus this— that is some damn versatility in style and everything. Compare this to guys like Frank Miller (an overrated hack who really can write only one kind of story. This is a very dark but intriguing tale of a man who has lost everything yet is going to lose even more if he keeps running. I like how each issue is going to focus on a different agent and this time it is Lightning – who with each run sees the future and his eventual death – each time getting closer and closet to the present. No this Speedster has nothing to do with the Speed Force. (Although I would love to see him guest star in the Flash!). Great stuff.

The Powers That Will Kill Them

This book introduces the newest iteration of the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents, a covert  team of UN Metahumans whose powers will eventually kill them. It is an interesting concept that was really needed to separate this book from other UN Sponsored teams like JLI or Checkmate. This concept may have been fresh when this book appeared in the sixties but it has been done to death since so the “powers will kill them” identity and the Salesman are things that are needed to keep the book interesting in the DCU of the 21st Century. I look forward to learning more about this team as the writing was great and the art was fantastic. Great start for a book and team I knew nothing about before reading it.
