This was another underwhelming issue of Batwoman after the first one did not really excite me I could not find this exciting either. First of all, I don’t like that the big bad know’s Batwoman’s secret identity already and frankly I don’t care much for this island storyline.

Batwoman Begins Again

Batwoman (Volume 2) #1
Written by Marguerite Bennett and James Tynion IV
Art by Steve Epting

Batwoman’s new solo series debuts with my favorit writer James Tynion IV as co-writer so I was excited to read this. The art was good, it was well-written, but it was slow and nothing too exciting happened. I don’t know the history between Batwoman and this country of Coryana. Maybe it is new? But I expected something more exciting for this first issue of Batwoman going around the globe. Instead we got mostly beautiful art, an assassin, and some banter between Batwoman and Julia Pennyworth. Nothing really to say hell ya I should keep reading this series. Can’t we get a Cassandra Cain series instead of this?
